bed bug removal, control & treatment
Suspecting you have bed bugs can be quite daunting and there is often a stigma attached. However, the truth is that even the cleanest properties still get bed bugs due to how prevalent they are throughout our communities, and how easily they can be transmitted!
Bed Bugs are little blood-sucking pests that are usually transferred into a new property via clothing, furnishings, luggage and more. They are becoming an increasing problem worldwide. Bed bugs can lay up to 500 eggs over two months and infestations can rapidly grow.
The first sign of an infestation is usually finding you’ve been bitten during your sleep. The clever pests inject anaesthetic and anticoagulant when they bite. This means we don’t initially feel the bite, and their meal of blood can continue to flow. Sometimes small spots of blood can be seen on sheets, either from yourself or from crushed bugs. Bugs will hide in cracks and crevices, only coming out when they sense carbon dioxide from our breath. Sometimes your dog may also be able to detect an infestation.
The quicker you treat an infestation, the easier it is to get under control. As standard two treatments are usually required, but this can sometimes be more. There are a variety of methods that can be used to remove your infestation and bring your home or business back to normality. It will be almost impossible to eradicate your infestation without the use of a professional.
